About Sue Payne

Sue Payne

I have been drawing since I was six years old. From early on I knew I wanted to be a professional artist. I started with pencils and expanded to pen & ink, watercolor and acrylic paints, airbrush, and ultimately to digital.

I studied illustration and graphic design and received a BS Degree in Graphic Design, with a Concentration in Illustration, from San Jose State University.

Professional Background

I have worked in agency, in-house and freelance environments. I am experienced in B2B and B2C marketing and advertising. I have created visual communications for companies of all sizes – from Fortune 500 companies to small consulting firms – in various industries including technology, health care, gaming and non-profit. I know what it takes to produce successful printed and electronic communications and I deliver results that exceed expectations.

Personal Background

I spend my leisure time with family, friends and my beloved pets. As a lifelong animal lover I support animal welfare efforts, and am a Director for a local non-profit animal rescue organization. I also actively support my community by donating time and resources to local charities. I enjoy animated movies, fairy tales with happy endings, puzzles, laughter, puffy clouds, adventures with my four-legged friends, and science fiction. I love sports, especially volleyball, and just about anything having to do with water – swimming, boating, kayaking, water skiing, tubing and fishing – and being outdoors hiking and camping.
